The Mission of Black Public Radio

The mission of Black Public Radio (BPR) is to foster a shared vision and collaboration between member stations to produce, acquire, disseminate and distribute news, information and creative ideas that are important to our audience and listeners. Born in a variety of shades, we embrace our local, state, national and global cultures with great pride. With big goals in mind and a propensity to spread knowledge we will create high quality broadcast, news, information and initiatives that will strengthen our communities.

Why Black Public Radio?

Each of our member stations is unique. While they are vital to the far-reaching impact we make, community stations provide our listeners with critical local information, news, announcements and cultural enrichment programming. Community stations are the most important assets to the communities they serve – they can be an important and trusted voice and reservoir for information.

BPR News

BPR will provide coverage of national and world news that will keep our listeners informed.

BPR Music

Though music is central to what we do – music is not all that we do. We will examine the cultural environment from which music comes and in which it is performed.

BPR Events

Like our mission our events will enhance the lives of individuals and families by providing inspiration, motivation and positive reinforcement and enrichment.

BPR Podcast

Will focus on central and critical ideas and topics that will engage and inspire our listeners.

BPR Stations

Listeners will be invited regularly to become a part of an informed community of listeners willing to exchange a wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise.

BPR Sponsors
